Macaron FAQs
What is a French macaron?
A French macaron is a light, often brightly colored sandwich cookie consisting of two rounded disks made from a batter of egg whites, sugar, and almond flour surrounding a sweet filling of ganache, buttercream, or jam.
Is your kitchen entirely wheat-free?
No. While most macarons are gluten-free, macarons are made in a kitchen that handles wheat products.
What size are your macarons?
Our macarons are approximately 1.75" in diameter. Since they are handmade, the macarons may vary slightly in size.
What is a puparon?
A macaron for your pup! It is safe for human consumption, but designed with your pup in mind. It’s less sweet than a regular macaron.
How should I store my macarons?
If you are waiting to enjoy your French macarons a few hours past their delivery, we recommend storing them in the refrigerator (preferably in an airtight container). For best results, our macarons should be consumed within 5 days of delivery. Let them sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before serving. If you need longer-term storage, our macarons can be frozen for up to a month and can be served after standing at room temperature for at least 30 minutes.
Are your macarons dairy-free?
We have dairy-free varieties available. See Dairy-free Baker’s Choice Box and Dairy-free Variety Box options.
Do you provide nutritional information?
At Macaronology, everything is made from the finest, natural ingredients. Each package is labeled with the ingredients contained within.
Are your macarons gluten-free?
Most macarons are made with gluten-free ingredients, however certain flavors may contain wheat. All ingredient and allergen information will be provided with your order. Please contact us if you have questions.
Can I eat macarons if I have a nut allergy?
No, we are NOT a nut-free kitchen. Our macarons are made with almonds/almond flour. Some flavors also contain peanuts, pistachios, hazelnuts & walnuts. We recommend that customers with nut allergies do not consume our macarons.
How should I serve my macarons?
Macarons should be served almost room temperature.
Take the macarons out of the refrigerator and let sit in room temperature for 10- 15 minutes depending on the flavors and then serve.

When will my order be ready?
It takes us at least 48 hours to prepare your order once we begin working on it. Your order confirmation is not a confirmation that we’ve begun baking. We will reach out to confirm your requested pick-up time or delivery date.
Can I place a custom flavor or color order?
Yes! Please contact us directly to discuss. Some restrictions may apply and additional time may be needed depending on the request.
Do I need to be home for my delivery?
Someone should be home to accept the delivery. We can certainly provide no-contact delivery. However, leaving them outside in the elements may spoil or damage the macaron. If we are instructed to leave the macarons, we are no longer responsible if they are damaged or become spoiled.
If we deliver and no one is home we will attempt to reach you via the phone number provided on the order. If we cannot reach you, we will attempt to leave them in a safe location and notify you.
